Yucca Schidigera
Yucca (Yucca schidigera) powder and extract is used as a supplement in the diet of the horses for its ability to help reduce ammonia concentrations, inhibition of Gram-positive bacteria, and anti-arthritic activity. Yucca contains a number of phytochemicals which contribute to these effects. The best known are the steroidal saponins.
