Gymnema

Gymnema (Gymnema sylvestre ) is a herb native to the tropical forests of southern and central India and Sri Lanka. Gymnema is used as a herbal treatment for diabetes. The major bioactive constituents of G. sylvestre are a group of oleanane-type triterpenoid saponins known as gymnemic acids.
