White Bryony (Bryonia dioica) is a climbing plant of hedgerows and woodlands. All parts of the plant are considered poisonous, however the roots are particularly toxic. It contains cardiotoxins bryosigenin, bryodulcosigenin, cucurbitacin, and several other terpenes. White bryony produces five-petalled, greenish-cream colored flowers in the summer, and orange red shiny berries in the winter.
