Tyzzer's Disease

Tyzzer's disease is a sporadic, rapidly progressive, acute and generally fatal hepatitis caused by Clostridium piliforme. C. piliforme has been reported in a wide range of animal species, both wild and domesticated.

Prevention

Keep foals in a well grassed paddock, to decrease exposure to contaminated soil
